The same basics
Lights, tyres, windscreen, mirrors, brakes, body and load all still apply. Tyres need particular attention, because electric vans are heavy and have strong torque.
Extra items
- Charge level enough for the planned route, with margin.
- Charging port and flap clean, undamaged and closed.
- Charging cable carried, undamaged and stored properly.
- Warning lights especially battery, high voltage and brake system messages.
- Orange high voltage cables: if you can see damage or exposed cable, do not touch and report.
Safety
Drivers should not attempt repairs on high voltage systems. Report any warning or damage and let a trained technician deal with it.
Set it up in Kovi
Make an electric van template with a number item for charge percentage and a tick item for the cable and port.
